 A note from the artist:

My artistic vision involves a reaffirmation of the beauty of nature and recreating nostalgic memories.

My paintings principally consist of delicately detailed floral and figurative pieces. I am interested in exploring the use of color combinations beginning with primary and supplementing with secondary additives. I love to paint what I see, feel and imagine. I pay attention to the use of color in an expressive fashion in the manner of such artists as Monet, Matisse, Edward Hopper and Andy Warhol.

One of the objectives of my work is to create a visual representation of an idea that inspires me at that moment. It will begin with something I see visually or something I imagine, then the drawing will take shape, sometimes from research material, my art, or my imagination. Some pieces will materialize into finishes paintings. I consider my style as a figurative version of impressionism that leans toward representational imaging.

My background includes a BS in Education from Kutztown University, a BFA in Design from Moore College of Art & Design, an MA in Liberal Studies and an MA in Political Science from Villanova University. Over the years, I have accumulated awards in regional juried exhibits in several geographic areas of the United States. I spent many years in the teaching field, emphasizing the design principles studied and mastered in higher education.
